Power BI Developer

Role: Power BI Developer Location: Houston, TX 77002 Duration: Long-term Contract Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card, or Authorized to Work in the US Description: The Power BI Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and report visualizations in the Power BI Service. The candidate will work closely with members of the Big Data team including business customers to understand broad business information requirements, develop solutions to meet those requirements, and execute the design in order to meet business needs. Onsite location is Houston corporate office. Responsibilities: • Utilize best practices to design, develop, and support Power BI report and visualizations • Publish reports and dashboards using Power BI Service for sharing and collaboration • Optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance • Understand requirements and have the ability to visualize the Dashboard • Work on different metrics and calculations using Power BI functions • Be able to consolidate and aggregate data for visualizations • Schedule dashboard refreshes and set up proactive notifications Must Have: • 4 plus years in Power BI dashboard and report visualization development • Excellent communication to communicate needs with client and internal teams successfully • Expertise in publishing reports and dashboards using Power BI Service • Expertise in Power Query and DAX languages • Ability to prevent and support resolution of data quality issues Nice to have: • Ability to educate report requestors and consumers on Power BI development, capabilities, and best practices • Experience with Power BI governance and security Our benefits package includes: • Comprehensive medical benefits • Competitive pay • 401(k) retirement plan • …and much more!
