Power BI Engineer

An exciting opportunity for a PowerBI + Databricks Engineer to join this global Energy Trading company. About The Role: Roles and Responsibilities: - Works independently, determines own priorities and provides functional / technical support to experienced colleagues. - Focus is on functional design and development of moderately complex applications and infrastructure. - Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within projects concerning multiple IT systems / domains. - Identifies and advises on opportunities for improvements and on optimal use of applications and Infrastructure. This is a Greenfield project the company cannot release any info on the detail of work/project scope until interview stage. Top Skills: - Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Data Modeling - BI & Reporting: Power BI development, Data visualization, Power BI Service, Advanced DAX, Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Measure Killer - Data Modeling & Architecture: Semantic design, Star Schemas, Semantic models - Databases & Platforms: Snowflake, Azure Databricks - Data Engineering & ETL: ETL processes, DBT, IBM Data Manager - DevOps & Governance: GitHub, Version control, CI/CD, License management, Capacity optimization - Good to have not must: Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Intermediate Python, JavaScript Ideally someone who has trading experience / exposure however not essential. Must be hands on and be able to lead. Strong communication skills is a must.
