Power BI Fabric Architect

Job Title: Power BI Fabric Architect Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite/Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Fabric Architect to lead the migration of semantic models from Synapse to Microsoft Fabric. This is a hands-on, leadership role requiring strong expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure data platforms. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and architectural vision, working closely with leadership to drive rapid delivery into production. Key Responsibilities • Lead migration of Power BI semantic models to Microsoft Fabric • Perform Fabric model tuning and optimization • Design and enhance Lakehouse architecture on Fabric platform • Apply advanced Power BI visualization and performance tuning techniques • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions into production quickly • Provide technical leadership and guide existing teams • Support ongoing initiatives including PrX and new Fabric-based solutions Required Qualifications Strong expertise in: • Power BI (Semantic Models, Performance Tuning, Visualization best practices) • Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Architecture) Experience with: • Azure Data Platform (10+ years preferred) • Migrating workloads from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric Hands-on experience with: • Data modeling and optimization • End-to-end data architecture Preferred Skills Experience with: • Azure Synapse Analytics • Data migration and modernization projects • Strong understanding of: • Data pipelines, lakehouse architecture, and enterprise BI solutions
