Job title :Power BI Lead(Experience level should be more Location: Minneapolis MN(Onsite from Day1)(10+ Years of Exp) • Azure Synapse to Power BI – End-to-End Analytics Pitch (6+ Years Experience) • 6+ years of experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions, transforming data from Azure Synapse Analytics into interactive, visually compelling Power BI dashboards. • Designed and implemented scalable data architectures using Synapse (dedicated SQL pools, serverless SQL) as the backend for enterprise reporting. • Strong expertise in advanced DAX (CALCULATE, time intelligence, context transition, dynamic KPIs) to build business-critical metrics and insights. • Built optimized star schema data models on top of Synapse datasets, ensuring high performance for large-scale reporting. • Developed complex SQL queries in Synapse (CTEs, window functions, joins, query tuning) to prepare curated datasets for Power BI consumption. • Created robust ETL pipelines integrating Synapse with Power BI using Power Query and dataflows for seamless data transformation. • Delivered high-quality UI/UX dashboards, focusing on clean layouts, intuitive navigation, storytelling, and executive-level reporting. • Led migration of legacy BI reports and on-prem data warehouses into Synapse + Power BI ecosystem with data validation and performance optimization. • Managed Power BI semantic layer and metadata using Tabular Editor, XMLA endpoints, and best practices for lineage and governance. • Leveraged TMDL and PBIP for version-controlled development and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistency across environments. • Built reusable PBIT templates to standardize report development and accelerate deployment across business units. • Worked with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Warehouses) to extend Synapse-based solutions into modern unified analytics platforms. • Implemented enterprise-grade security (RLS, OLS) and optimized performance using aggregation tables, incremental refresh, and DAX Studio.
