Roles and Responsibilities:
β’ Dashboard Development: Design and build high-performance dashboards in both Power BI and Tableau Desktop.
β’ Data Modeling: Construct scalable data models, define KPIs, and build semantic layers.
β’ Calculations & Logic: Write complex DAX functions, Power Query M code, and advanced Tableau calculated fields.
β’ Data Integration: Connect BI tools to diverse data sources like Snowflake, SQL Server, and cloud data warehouses.
β’ Performance Optimization: Fine-tune workbook structures, data extracts, and SQL queries to minimize load times.
β’ BI Administration: Manage security permissions, row-level security (RLS), scheduling refreshes, and publishing on Tableau Server or Power BI Service.
β’ Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather technical requirements from business users and deliver clear data storytelling.
Required Technical Skills:
β’ BI Platforms: Advanced proficiency in Tableau (Desktop, Server, Online) and Power BI (Desktop, Service).
β’ Database Language: Strong SQL scripting skills for creating complex joins, views, and stored procedures.
β’ Data Environments: Experience working with cloud platforms like Snowflake or Azure Synapse.
β’ ETL & Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of ETL processes, data cleaning, and relational database schemas.
Qualifications & Soft Skills:
β’ Education: Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
β’ Problem-Solving: Strong logical reasoning to identify data anomalies and resolve reporting bottlenecks.
