Reports To: HR Analytics / Workforce Insights Team
Compensation: $60-70/hr
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits at the intersection of data, people, and strategy—helping a leading healthcare system make smarter workforce decisions through analytics. As a Power BI / SQL Developer, you’ll transform complex HR data into clear, actionable insights that leaders can actually use.
You won’t just be building dashboards—you’ll be shaping how the organization understands its workforce, from hiring pipelines to retention trends. If you enjoy turning messy data into meaningful stories and working with stakeholders who rely on your insights to make real decisions, this is a highly visible and impactful opportunity.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable HR and workforce insights
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data from enterprise systems
• Build scalable data models and datasets to support high-performing BI solutions
• Translate HR business needs into intuitive, executive-ready visualizations
• Develop reporting across key workforce metrics (headcount, turnover, recruiting pipeline, productivity)
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security—especially when working with sensitive HR data
• Partner with HR, workforce planning, and IT teams to enhance reporting capabilities and automation
WHAT YOU BRING
• 3–6+ years of experience developing dashboards in Power BI
• Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization and data transformation
• Experience building data models for BI and analytics tools
• Ability to turn complex datasets into clear, user-friendly visualizations
• Experience working with HR, workforce, or operational data
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders
• Preferred: Healthcare industry experience or familiarity with HRIS systems like Workday
