Power Platform AI Engineer / Co

About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Power Platform AI Engineer / Copilot Studio Specialist to support the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered copilots and intelligent agents using Microsoft’s Power Platform tools- with a particular focus on Copilot Studio. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London. This role is ideal for a technically proficient developer or AI engineer with a strong grasp of Microsoft’s low-code ecosystem and hands-on experience building scalable, intelligent business solutions. Responsibilities: Develop and deploy intelligent agents and copilots using Copilot Studio within the Microsoft Power Platform. Create AI-driven workflows and conversational experiences tailored to business processes. Build and maintain solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents, integrating with internal and external data sources. Leverage tools like Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, and Dataverse to enhance AI capabilities. Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and production-ready solutions. Collaborate with client-side teams, including business analysts, stakeholders, and project managers. Monitor, maintain, and iterate on deployed solutions to ensure performance and reliability. About You Proven hands-on experience with Power Platform, particularly Copilot Studio and Power Automate. Strong understanding of conversational AI, intelligent agents, and large language model (LLM) applications. Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, and REST APIs. Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, or Azure OpenAI. Ability to work independently and manage client expectations in a consulting or delivery-focused environment. Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform (e.g., PL-400, PL-900). Experience with AI Builder or custom AI model integration. Background in software engineering, data science, or a related technical field.
