Position Title: Power Platform Developer Location Information Hybrid – Kansas City, MO W2 only - no C2C Position Responsibilities: As a Power Platform Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative, scalable business solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and analytical skills to digitize processes, automate tasks, and optimize existing workflows. Your responsibilities will include: • Designing, building, configuring, testing, deploying, and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, Power BI, etc.). • Developing reusable components, scripts, and frameworks to automate manual administrative processes. • Partnering with Business Analysts and stakeholders to analyze business needs and identify automation and improvement opportunities. • Documenting technical designs, release notes, and supporting development and operational processes for applications. • Creating advanced Power BI reports using DAX or M, integrating multiple data sources to provide seamless user experiences. • Collaborating iteratively with internal teams and third parties during product development and QA to ensure design alignment and business objectives are met. • Deploying projects and supporting day-to-day operations by resolving technical issues promptly and effectively. • Contributing to the development of Power Platform standards, governance, and best practices across the organization. • Collecting, interpreting, and analyzing business data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. • Staying current on technology trends and best practices, exploring new tools, and participating in knowledge-sharing activities to foster innovation and skill growth among peers. • Providing project estimations based on requirements and communicating updates on project status, risks, and milestones. • Developing Virtual Agents to assist users with common or scalable tasks. • Performing additional tasks as assigned to support business initiatives. Essential Skills, Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience and certifications. • At least four years of relevant software engineering or development experience, preferably involving Microsoft Power Platform or similar low-code/no-code platforms. • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, and Power BI, or other low-code/no-code platforms. • Programming/development experience in languages such as R, Python, Java, .Net, C#, or Visual Basic, particularly on automation or integration projects. • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (or comparable analytics platforms) and data modeling concepts, with the ability to build complex reports and integrate multiple sources. • Demonstrated skill in solving complex problems, debugging, and analyzing root causes through structured and unstructured data. • General understanding of APIs, command line operations, client-server architecture, networks, and (S)FTP communications. • Experience interpreting business process workflow diagrams and procedural documentation. • Clear verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and within teams. • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and adaptive; committed to continuous improvement and learning new ways to solve business challenges. • Prior exposure to machine learning and AI concepts is considered a plus. • Valid driver’s license required for travel between office and field locations. Qualifications: • Ability to work in both office and field environments, with periodic travel required to support field personnel or project needs. • Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—as required by project schedules or operational needs. • Demonstrated satisfactory work record, including strong attendance and reliability.
