Role description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer to join our CBTS team on a remote contract engagement for a project for one of our clients. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform — including Power Apps, and Power Automate — with deep integration into SharePoint Online. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions that drive operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Architect, design, and develop complex Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps tailored to business requirements • Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate, including approvals, notifications, and data integrations • Design and manage SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, and permission structures to support Power Platform solutions • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports connected to SharePoint and other data sources • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive) and external APIs via custom connectors • Apply SharePoint Framework (SPFx) customizations where required • Enforce Power Platform governance, environment management, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) best practices • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on Power Platform standards • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end users to gather and refine requirements • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and usability issues across deployed solutions Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) • 5+ years working with SharePoint Online in a development or architecture capacity • Proven experience building both Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps • Strong proficiency in Power Automate cloud flows including complex branching, error handling, and HTTP connectors • Experience designing and administering SharePoint site collections, content types, and managed metadata • Solid understanding of Dataverse (Common Data Service) — data modeling, relationships, and security roles • Experience creating custom connectors for REST/SOAP APIs in Power Platform • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 ecosystem and how it integrates with Power Platform • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications • Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), PL-100, or PL-200 • Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) using TypeScript and React • Familiarity with Azure services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management) for extended integrations • Experience with Power Pages (formerly Power Apps Portals) • Knowledge of Power Platform ALM using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments Technology Stack Core • Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) • Power Automate (Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows) • Power BI • SharePoint Online • Microsoft Dataverse Integration & Dev Tools • Microsoft Graph API • REST/SOAP APIs & Custom Connectors • Azure AD / Entra ID • Azure DevOps / GitHub (for ALM) • SPFx / TypeScript (preferred) Work Arrangement • Fully remote — candidates must be authorized to work in the United States • Contract engagement with potential for extension based on performance and client need • Standard business hours with occasional flexibility required for stakeholder meetings across time zones
