Power Platform Developer Primary Location: Washington, District of Columbia Hybrid position, Need only Locals V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Power Platform Developer for our premier client in Washington, District of Columbia. Education And Experience » • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or related field, Master’s degree preferred. • 5+ years of strong understanding and hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. • 5+ years of knowledge of data modeling, database design, SQL, and data integration techniques. • 5+ years of familiarity with programming languages like JavaScript, JSON, and potentially others like C# or Python for advanced customizations and integrations. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and other Office 365 services. • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and devise effective solutions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, team members, and end-users. • Microsoft Power Platform certifications, such as Power Platform App Maker or Power Platform Developer, can be highly beneficial. • Experience with API integrations and handling multiple data sources. • Familiarity with various content management systems and version control systems. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities • Create custom applications using PowerApps to meet specific business needs, including designing user interfaces, workflows, and data integrations. • Automating tasks and streamlining workflows using Power Automate, including connecting various applications and services to improve efficiency and reduce errors. • Implement solutions integrating multiple data sources and services, including API and REST services. • Designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights from data. • Integrating data from various sources (Dataverse, SharePoint, Azure, databases, etc.) to ensure seamless data flow and efficient analysis. • Providing ongoing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing Power Platform solutions for optimal performance. • Keeping abreast of the latest features, updates, and best practices within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. • Working closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and other IT professionals to understand requirements, gather feedback, and deliver solutions that align with business objectives. • Assist power users in developing their own solutions using Power Platform tools. • Ensuring that Power Platform solutions adhere to security protocols, data governance policies, and relevant regulations.
