Power Power BI Reporting Consultant

Title: Power BI Reporting Consultant Type: 1-Year W2 Contract / Hybrid (3+ days a week on-site) / 40 Hours a week Location: Long Beach, CA Hourly/Contract Rate: $70–$80/hour, depending on experience. Overview: Our client is seeking a Power BI Reporting Consultant to join their team in Long Beach to design, develop, and maintain robust reporting solutions in an on-premises environment. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, mentoring internal report builders, and managing the Power BI infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards in an on-prem environment. • Provide guidance and mentorship to internal report developers on best practices. • Administer Power BI infrastructure, including workspace management, data gateways, security, and environment health monitoring. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective solutions. Qualifications & Requirements: • 7+ years' experience developing Power BI reports, data models, and DAX calculations in enterprise environments. • Experience mentoring and consulting with other report developers. • Hands-on experience with Power BI Report Server or hybrid deployments. • Strong understanding of data governance, security roles, and administration. • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and business teams. • Excellent collaboration and professional communication skills for client interactions.
