Role description
The Role
We’re looking for a curious, analytical and commercially minded Pricing Analyst to join our growing team. This is a broad, high‑impact role where you’ll work across a wide range of pricing projects, collaborating closely with underwriting, marketing and commercial teams to help drive Agria’s continued growth.
You’ll play a key part in shaping pricing decisions across both direct and partner channels - using data, market insight and modelling techniques to support profitable growth, strong customer outcomes and robust governance.
Working alongside colleagues across pricing, underwriting and the wider business, you’ll deliver analysis, monitor performance and contribute to the development of our pricing models and optimisation capabilities.
This role is offered on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supporting pricing strategy - translating business priorities into clear analytical recommendations and pricing actions across direct and partnership channels.
• Analysing performance - reviewing sales, conversion and retention trends to identify risks, opportunities and drivers of customer lifetime value.
• Developing pricing models - contributing to the build, enhancement and monitoring of pricing and optimisation models using statistical, actuarial or data‑science techniques.
• Assessing pricing impacts - evaluating proposed pricing and product changes to balance commercial performance, risk and customer outcomes.
• Supporting governance - ensuring pricing changes are deployed accurately with full documentation, impact assessments and governance sign‑off.
• Resolving pricing issues - investigating queries and errors, improving processes and reducing repeat demand.
• Managing day‑to‑day queries - prioritising and responding to requests, escalating where needed.
• Collaborating across teams - sharing expertise, supporting colleagues and contributing to a high‑performing, inclusive team culture.
• Ensuring fair value - making sure all pricing activity supports good customer outcomes and meets internal governance standards.
What We’re Looking For
• Insurance pricing expertise - strong understanding of general insurance pricing processes and methodologies; pet pricing experience is ideal.
• Technical capability - experience with pricing software such as Quantee, Earnix or Radar.
• Modelling skills - confident in GLMs and/or machine‑learning approaches to risk pricing.
• Analytical strength - excellent numerical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Data‑tool proficiency - comfortable using tools such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Python, R or specialist pricing platforms.
• Commercial awareness - understanding how pricing decisions influence growth, retention, profitability and customer outcomes.
• Customer‑focused mindset - committed to delivering fair value and strong customer experiences.
• Collaborative approach - enthusiastic, proactive and supportive within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills - able to explain analysis clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Organised & detail‑driven - able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curious & proactive - always looking for better ways of doing things.
