Pricing Analyst (Contract) – Online Merchandising Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Type: Ongoing Contract Overview We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to support online merchandising and pricing strategy for a Fortune 30 retail organization. This contractor will play a key role in executing and optimizing digital pricing initiatives that directly impact competitiveness, conversion, and margin performance. Working at the intersection of merchandising, pricing strategy, and data analytics, this role will help ensure that online pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with broader business objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can translate complex analyses into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities • Support the execution of online pricing strategies, including base pricing, promotional pricing, and competitive price matching • Monitor competitor pricing, promotional trends, and market dynamics to inform pricing decisions and recommendations • Partner with merchandising, marketing, and pricing teams to implement and validate pricing rules, discounts, and promotional campaigns • Maintain and audit pricing accuracy across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with business rules and compliance standards • Analyze pricing performance and promotional effectiveness using internal dashboards and reporting tools • Identify opportunities to improve price positioning, margin, and conversion through data-driven insights • Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as price competitiveness, lift, and revenue impact • Support A/B testing and experimentation efforts related to pricing and promotions • Troubleshoot pricing discrepancies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in pricing, merchandising, retail analytics, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Experience working with large datasets and pricing or transactional data • Proficiency in SQL (Google BigQuery or similar data warehouse experience preferred) • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau (or similar platforms) • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights Preferred Qualifications • Experience in eCommerce, online merchandising, or digital retail environments • Familiarity with pricing tools, competitive intelligence platforms, or promotional systems • Exposure to pricing strategy concepts such as elasticity, margin optimization, and promotional lift • Experience supporting large-scale retail or enterprise organizations
