🚨 Hiring: Principal Data Engineer / Data Architect (only Visa Independent and locals only) 📍 Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) | ⏳ 6-Month Contract (Potential Hire) | 🏛 Public Sector We are looking for a hands-on Principal Data Engineer / Data Architect to support and enhance a public-sector financial system. This role focuses on data architecture, SQL development, integrations, and production support within a full-stack application environment. 🔧 Responsibilities • Design and maintain relational data models for transactional and reporting systems • Develop and optimize SQL (tables, views, stored procedures, indexes) • Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting • Build and support data integrations and APIs • Support production systems, enhancements, testing, and deployments • Define data standards, best practices, and documentation • Assist with data governance, data quality, and auditability ✅ Required Skills • 8+ years of Data Engineering / Data Architecture experience • Strong relational database & advanced SQL expertise • Experience with financial or transactional systems • Experience supporting production applications • Knowledge of API/data integrations • Experience in public-sector or regulated environments ⭐ Nice to Have • Cloud or hybrid data architecture experience • Data governance or master data experience • Agile / iterative delivery experience
