Role Purpose
We are seeking a Data Analyst (6-week contract) to support the RTW Product Development team with analytics, reporting and budget tracking during a period of team absence.
The role will focus on consolidating Product Development data from multiple systems and building clear, insight-driven dashboards to support operational teams and senior leadership. The successful candidate will work across SAP purchase orders, PLM product data and internal trackers, translating complex datasets into clear reporting and visual insights.
Working alongside the existing PD analyst, this role will support key initiatives including Power BI dashboard development, integrated spend reporting and seasonal budget planning across Product Development.
Initial Focus of the Role
During the 6-week contract, the successful candidate will focus on:
• Building Power BI dashboards providing visibility of Product Development spend and budget tracking
• Integrating data from SAP purchase orders, PLM product data and internal Excel trackers
• Delivering a consolidated reporting view across RTW Product Development and related PD functions
• Supporting analysis for the upcoming seasonal Product Development budgeting exercise
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Reporting & Dashboard Development
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards to support Product Development reporting and leadership visibility.
• Translate complex operational and financial datasets into clear, narrative-driven visualisations suitable for both creative stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Ensure dashboards highlight key trends, cost drivers and actionable insights, rather than simply presenting raw data.
Integrated Budget & Spend Reporting
• Support the creation of an integrated Product Development spend reporting framework across RTW Product Development and related PD functions.
• Consolidate and analyse spend data across:
• RTW Product Development
• Soft Accessories PD
• Childrenswear development
• Outlet development
• Fabric development
• Trim development
• Fabric innovation
• Travel & Expenses (T&E)
• Develop reporting that tracks budget vs actual spend across these areas to improve visibility and decision making.
Data Consolidation & Modelling
• Consolidate data from multiple sources including SAP purchase orders, PLM product data and internal Excel trackers.
• Structure and harmonise datasets to enable consistent and reliable reporting.
• Build data models that support integrated analysis across Product Development data sources.
Ad Hoc Analytics
• Conduct ad hoc analysis across Product Development and supply chain datasets.
• Identify trends, cost drivers and operational insights across development activities.
• Support analysis of sampling vs production costs, material costs and development spend.
Budget Planning Support
• Support a seasonal budgeting exercise for upcoming collections.
• Translate development and sourcing data into structured Excel models to support budget planning across fabrics, trims and development activities.
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with the PD analytics team, supporting the existing analyst with data structuring, reporting and analysis.
• Provide analytical support rather than direct stakeholder coordination.
Experience
• 3+ years experience in data analytics, BI or reporting roles
• Strong experience building Power BI dashboards for business stakeholders
• Experience working with large operational datasets
• Experience analysing financial or budget data
Experience within fashion, retail, product development or supply chain environments is advantageous.
Technical Skills
• Advanced Power BI dashboard development
• Advanced Excel (Power Query, large dataset handling)
• Strong data modelling and data structuring skills
• Experience working with ERP or PLM systems (SAP / PLM preferred)
