Role description
Join our dynamic team as a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Engineer and become a driving force in managing the entire lifecycle of innovative products. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in product management, software development, and IT infrastructure to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of products from conception to end-of-life. Your energetic approach will help us optimize our product strategies, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives and shape the future of our product offerings. Lead the development and implementation of PLM strategies aligned with business goals using Agile and SAFe methodologies to foster flexible and efficient workflows. Collaborate with product management, engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements, define specifications, and develop comprehensive test cases for new and existing products. Manage product data across databases and IT infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards. Utilize tools such as TFS (Team Foundation Server), VersionOne, Jira, and Microsoft Project to track progress, manage tasks, and facilitate seamless project execution. Design wireframes and prototypes using Balsamiq or UML diagrams to visualize product features and workflows for stakeholder review. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), analyze analytics data using Looker or SaaS platforms, and coordinate product releases through SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices. Oversee integration of APIs with mobile applications and Internet of Things (IoT) devices to enhance product functionality across platforms. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams through Microsoft Office tools like PowerPoint and Excel to present updates, reports, and strategic plans. Proven experience in software development or product management within a PLM environment utilizing Agile, SAFe, Waterfall methodologies. Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, APIs, SQL databases, HTML coding, and IT governance frameworks. Familiarity with project management software such as Jira, TFS, VersionOne, or Microsoft Project for tracking tasks and milestones. Demonstrated analysis skills for requirements gathering, wireframing (using Balsamiq), creating test cases, and performing user acceptance testing. Proficiency in UML modeling tools like Microsoft PowerPoint for documentation and presentations. Experience working with SaaS solutions, analytics platforms like Looker, and integrating IoT technologies into product ecosystems. Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities to guide teams through complex projects effectively.
