Job Role: Product Owner (Insurance Domain) Location: USA- Remote No of position: 1 Exp. Start date: 4th Week of April Year of Experience: 8-12 Years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to drive product vision and delivery within the insurance underwriting domain. The role involves working closely with underwriters, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver solutions that enable efficient risk evaluation, policy decisions, and workflow automation. Key Responsibilities 1. Domain Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with the Workers’ Compensation domain is required. 1. API Understanding: Basic knowledge of REST APIs, along with hands-on experience using tools such as Swagger and Postman for API testing. 1. SQL Skills: Fundamental understanding of SQL with the ability to write and execute small to medium complexity queries. 1. Work Management Tools: Experience in managing and tracking backlog items using Azure DevOps (ADO). • Define and own the product roadmap aligned with business objectives • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to maximize business value • Collaborate closely with underwriters, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure alignment • Work with engineering teams to ensure timely and quality delivery • Drive Agile ceremonies and ensure smooth sprint execution. • Ensure solutions support: • Risk evaluation and underwriting decisions • Policy lifecycle management • Workflow automation and efficiency • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams • Continuously refine product features based on feedback and data insights Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience in the Insurance domain, especially Underwriting • Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments • 8–12+ years of overall experience • Strong experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst in Agile environments • Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar tools for backlog management • Experience working with digital platforms and API-based solutions • Strong understanding of business process workflows and automation • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability • High level of ownership and accountability Preferred skills • Experience with Guidewire or insurance platforms • Exposure to policy administration systems • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and analytics tools Soft Skills • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Ability to work in cross-functional and distributed teams • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
