Product Owner

Product Owner Insight Global is seeking an experienced Product Owner to support one of our financial clients digital transformation, focusing on modernizing legacy data and reporting systems and enabling cloud‑native data products. This role partners closely with Product Managers, Data Architects, and Agile teams to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, lead Agile ceremonies, and ensure delivery of scalable, data‑driven solutions. Emphasis on cloud migration, data ingestion, modeling, governance, and user‑centric data enablement. Must Haves Experience & Background • 3+ years as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an enterprise environment • Financial services experience • Experience with cloud‑native product development and/or data platform modernization • Strong understanding of SAFe or scaled Agile frameworks Technical Skills • Data analysis & modeling (SQL, Python, R) • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight) • Understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL) • Experience working with AWS or Azure • Ability to translate complex technical/data concepts into clear requirements Core Competencies • Strong communication and stakeholder management • Critical thinking and systems thinking • Comfortable working with and interpreting large data sets • Ability to create actionable user stories and prioritize data‑driven backlogs Nice to Haves • Data reporting experience • Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, Aha!, or similar • Background in data governance, metadata, lineage, or access control • Experience building dashboards, APIs, or self‑service analytics tools Disqualifiers • Cannot understand or communicate technical data product concepts (APIs, data warehouses, ML-related data structures) • No financial services experience (explicitly: not looking for candidates from cable/telecom such as Dish or Spectrum) • Heavy project‑manager‑only background with little product ownership • Uncomfortable working with data sets This position pays $55/hr
