W2 Opportunity – Product Owner (Agile / AWS Modernization) 📍 Remote (Eastern Time Preferred) ⏳ Duration: 12+ Months Contract 🏢 Leading Insurance Client 💼 W2 Only We are seeking a Product Owner to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on migrating multiple applications to AWS Cloud. This role will work closely with Agile teams, engineering, architecture, and platform stakeholders to drive backlog management, delivery predictability, and successful cloud transformation outcomes . Key Responsibiliti es • Support two Agile teams within a modernization program focused on AWS cloud migration initiative s. • Own and maintain a well-groomed product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritizatio n. • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to define database-backed capabilities and technical requirement s. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and quarterly planning activitie s. • Manage dependencies, risks, stakeholder communications, and program alignment across multiple team s. • Track product outcomes, delivery metrics, and team progress while identifying improvement opportunitie s. • Support AWS modernization efforts by helping define scope, sequencing, release planning, and migration readiness activitie s. • Partner with Scrum Masters and delivery teams to ensure effective Agile ceremonies and predictable deliver y. • Assist with roadmap development, discovery activities, and data-driven decision makin g. Required Qualificati ons • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fie ld. • 2–4+ years of Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Agile delivery experience supporting Scrum tea ms. • 5+ years of overall experience in business, technology, consulting, or product-related rol es. • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint planni ng. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skil ls. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-team environme nt. • Experience translating business and technical requirements into actionable user stori es.Preferred Qualificati ons • Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization progra ms. • Familiarity with AWS concepts and cloud-native architectur es. • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databas es. • Knowledge of data quality, performance, availability, and lifecycle requiremen ts. • Insurance industry experience is highly preferr ed. • Experience with dependency management and cross-team coordination within large progra ms.
