Role: Product Specialist 5 (PS5) | W2 CONTRACT ROLE
Location: Hybrid – Columbus, OH
Onsite Address: 2045 Morse Rd., Bldg. F Columbus, OH 43229
Duration: 6+ Months
Interview Mode: Virtual (F2F/Webcam as required)
Role Overview
The Product Specialist functions as the technical expert for enterprise systems and is responsible for ensuring availability, usability, and support for assigned products. This role includes collaboration with architecture teams, programmers, and vendors to optimize and enhance product performance.
Project Background
• RICS Modernization:
• Migration of the current Microsoft Access + SQL Server (RBDMS) system into a new web-based application hosted in Azure for the Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management (DOGRM).
• RBDMS Legacy System:
• Still operational; requires the creation of a decommission/sunset roadmap and ongoing coordination with internal users.
Key Deliverables
1. Evaluate and resolve bi-directional sync issues between RICS and RBDMS databases.
1. Create a roadmap to sunset active RBDMS functionality.
1. Act as proxy Product Owner, attending standups, defining features, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps.
1. Lead testing and validation of RICS enhancements with business teams.
1. Manage and maintain OnBase taxonomy, including creation of new document types and groups.
#SKILL MATRIX:
• Experience with MS-Access & SQL Server (TSQL) development
• Experience with creating Stored Procedures and Triggers to assist with creating bi-directional sync between RICS and JMT.
• Experience creating SQL queries to perform data clean up or orphan data
• Experience creating ETL process between systems
• Ability to resolve OnBase issues when transferring legacy documents (RBDMS) into OnBase with RICS taxonomy
• 3+ Years experience one who has lived the Agile/SCRUM software methodology
• Document all requirements in ADO
• Someone who can use Visio to document the sync process
