Production Planner

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner who is passionate about optimizing production planning, leading strategic initiatives, and enhancing operational excellence through process improvements and automation. Responsibilities • Create and maintain finite capacity production schedules considering equipment, labor, and material constraints. • Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize manufacturing throughput. • Develop and maintain short-term, medium-term, and long-term capacity models. • Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks through constraint analysis and simulation. • Monitor and manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize working capital. • Participate in the SOP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts. • Release and manage work orders through their complete lifecycle. • Set up and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules. • Leverage planning systems and analytics to generate optimized supply plans. • Develop capacity modeling tools using SQL, Python, and visualization platforms. • Monitor KPIs including schedule adherence, inventory turns, and supplier delivery. • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics on supply plan execution. • Partner with engineering on routings and resource rates for capacity planning. • Communicate supply-related risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders. • Support new product introduction projects for supply planning requirements. Essential Skills • 3+ years of professional experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related field. • Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes. • Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions. • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional projects. • Proficiency in supply chain management tools and technologies. • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI. • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies. • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification. • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization. • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. • Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space, such as IoT and machine learning. • Master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline. Work Environment This position is based in Westborough, MA, with working hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. There is potential for up to 10 hours of overtime. You will collaborate closely with the manufacturing operations team, supply chain, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The role supports production control for robotics manufacturing, including capacity planning, inventory management, and new product introduction programs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
