Role description
Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Program Coordinator β Vehicle Builds & Product Development. This role is responsible for coordinating vehicle build activities, facilitating cross-functional workshops, and driving issue resolution across engineering and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced product development environment and excels at keeping complex programs organized and on schedule.
Job Duties
β’ Coordinate vehicle build timelines and communicate schedule updates to stakeholders
β’ Track parts, bills of material (BOM), engineering specifications, and change order status
β’ Identify missing or at-risk components and escalate issues as needed
β’ Prepare weekly reports covering build status, parts readiness, risks, and open issues
β’ Schedule, organize, and facilitate physical and digital product development workshops
β’ Document meeting outcomes, assign issue ownership, and track action items through completion
β’ Support build readiness reviews and key program decision gates
β’ Maintain issue logs, action trackers, Power BI inputs, and visual management boards
β’ Coordinate digital validation activities with engineering and manufacturing teams
β’ Facilitate shop calls, planning sessions, and cross-functional program reviews
β’ Follow up on overdue action items and support timely issue resolution
β’ Maintain collaboration tools including Teams channels, SharePoint sites, and program documentation
Skills & Experience
Required
β’ Minimum of 3 years of planning or program coordination experience in a technical environment
β’ Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering or manufacturing teams
β’ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
β’ Experience planning and facilitating meetings, workshops, or technical reviews
β’ Ability to present information to technicians, engineers, managers, and senior leadership
β’ Experience facilitating groups ranging from small teams to large audiences
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
β’ Experience creating and maintaining Teams channels and SharePoint sites
β’ Strong experience tracking schedules, issues, action items, and project documentation
Desired
β’ Automotive, heavy vehicle, or manufacturing industry experience
β’ OEM product development experience
β’ Experience supporting prototype, pre-production, or sample vehicle builds
β’ Experience with manufacturing engineering, quality, or aftermarket organizations
β’ BOM management or parts tracking experience
β’ Experience supporting milestone reviews and product launch activities
β’ Power BI or other data visualization experience
β’ Jira or similar project management software experience
β’ Familiarity with Kanban, Scrum, or DevOps methodologies
β’ Experience working within prototype or validation environments
β’ Familiarity with conventional or cab-over vehicle platforms
