Role description
This is a contract role through Magnit for our client, Zynga, a gaming software company. This role is fully remote in the United States. Job Overview: The Ad Monetization team is seeking a multi-talented Programmatic contractor to help scale our advertising business. We are looking for an expert in the DSP landscape who is extremely organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be the lead architect for campaign success, bridging the gap between inventory procurement and technical execution. You will act as the primary operator within our DSP stackβ€”specifically The Trade Desk, DV360, and PubMaticβ€”to ensure campaigns are launched flawlessly, optimized for performance, and meeting rigorous delivery objectives. Daily Responsibilities: ● DSP Campaign Management: Lead the end-to-end execution of display and video campaigns within DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, PubMatic, etc.), including seat management, line-item setup, and creative trafficking. ● Inventory Procurement & Buying: Actively source and buy quality/brand safe inventory through programmatic channels. ● Strategic Optimization: Monitor real-time performance and apply advanced optimization tactics (bid shading, frequency capping, audience targeting) to meet client KPIs like CTR, VCR, and ROAS. ● Technical Troubleshooting: Develop and standardize testing protocols for ad assets (MRAID, VAST/VPAID). Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, such as creative rejection, tracking discrepancies, or supply-side delivery blocks. ● Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Yield and Creative Studio teams to identify new supply opportunities and ensure the Direct Sales team has optimal access to premium exchange inventory. ● Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze health metrics across buying platforms. Provide the Sales Team with granular insights and strategic recommendations for campaign growth on a week-over-week basis. ● Product Documentation & Operational Playbooks: Lead the documentation of DSP-specific launch, trafficking, and reporting workflows to create standardized playbooks that reduce errors, improve speed-to-market, and support scalable growth across platforms. Required Qualifications: ● DSP Expertise: Proven experience hands-on in the UI of The Trade Desk (TTD), DV360, and/or PubMatic. Experience with other major DSPs (LoopMe, Amazon) is a strong plus. ● Ad Tech Experience: At least 5 years of experience in buying, ad operations, or trafficking within the DSPs ● Inventory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the programmatic auction (First-price vs. Second-price), PMPs, and Header Bidding. ● Analytical Rigor: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization) to translate raw bid data into actionable insights. ● Problem-Solving: Working knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript as they relate to ad tags and troubleshooting. ● Organization: A proven track record of managing multiple high-spend accounts simultaneously without sacrificing detail or quality. Desired Qualifications: ● Platform Certifications: Official certifications in The Trade Desk (Edge Academy) or similar DSP platforms. ● Full-Stack Familiarity: Experience with supply-side tools like Google Ad Manager (GAM) to understand the "other side" of the programmatic transaction. ● Gaming Interest: A natural affinity for the mobile and video game ecosystem. ● Technical Agility: The ability to do lightweight coding or script debugging is a "nice to have" that will set you apart. Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation) The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $ 80- $100/hr Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)
