Job Description: Business Analyst Specialist (Project Manager)
Contract Duration: September 2026 – August 2028 (Total estimated 4,000 hours).
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Work Model: Hybrid (On-Site and Telework).
Location: Austin, TX.
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Specialist to serve as a dual Project Manager and Business Systems Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to design and implement core applications utilizing Java-based technologies. You will act as the vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
• SDLC Leadership: Participate in and manage all phases of the SDLC (analysis, design, development, implementation) for core applications built on Java, JavaServer Faces (JSF), PrimeFaces, JavaScript, Hibernate, and SQL.
• Requirements Management: Elicit, gather, and analyze business needs for both new and existing projects, translating them into comprehensive technical documentation.
• Enterprise Analysis: Conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and provide high-level enterprise analysis, including identifying data gaps and defining project milestones and goals.
• Communication & Liaison: Lead meetings with clinical and technical stakeholders, utilizing strong communication skills to align customer expectations with technical delivery capabilities.
• Project Oversight: Plan and schedule tasks for optimal completion, manage small teams, and provide status reporting and risk identification to leadership.
• Quality Assurance: Execute testing on software modules to ensure they strictly adhere to the established business and technical requirements.
Candidate Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Business Analytics (8+ Years): Extensive experience gathering requirements and creating or modifying technical documentation.
• Strategic Analysis (8+ Years): Proven experience conducting JAD sessions, performing gap analysis, and planning project milestones.
• Requirements Elicitation (8+ Years): Expert-level experience in identifying and documenting business needs for enterprise projects.
• Testing & QA (8+ Years): Comprehensive experience testing modules against specific requirement sets.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Project Management (4+ Years): Hands-on experience leading software development projects from inception to delivery.
• Planning & Scheduling (4+ Years): Proficiency in task management and resource scheduling for optimal project flow.
• Team Leadership (4+ Years): Experience managing small, high-performing technical teams.
