Project Controls Coordinator IV
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Coordinator IV to support project financial controls, cost reporting, forecasting, and accounting-related project activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial accounting and reporting background combined with project controls experience supporting large capital projects.
This position will work closely with project managers, finance teams, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate project cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and financial performance management.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain project cost reports, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual expenditures, and forecast-at-completion (FAC) estimates.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and provide explanations for budget and cost deviations.
• Support monthly financial reporting and project accounting activities.
• Track project costs, accruals, commitments, and funding requirements.
• Assist with project forecasting, cash flow analysis, and budget management.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate project financial performance reporting.
• Support change management and project funding processes.
• Ensure compliance with company financial controls and reporting requirements.
• Identify project financial risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 7–10+ years of corporate experience with a strong focus on:
• Financial Accounting
• Financial Reporting
• Cost Controls
• Project Financial Management
• Experience supporting large capital projects, infrastructure projects, energy projects, or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of:
