Job Description
Paramint LLC is seeking an experienced Public Safety Planner to support a large New York City public safety and emergency management program. This role serves as a critical part of the Project Management Office (PMO), providing advanced project scheduling, analytical support, document management, and project coordination to ensure the successful execution of complex technical, engineering, and public safety initiatives.
The Planner will work closely with project managers, engineering and operations teams, and agency stakeholders to maintain schedule integrity, support project execution, and ensure consistent operational alignment across multiple concurrent initiatives. This is a full-time, onsite position at 2 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Scheduling
Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and Public Safety Program standards
Coordinate resource allocation across multiple active projects
Monitor schedule performance, identify risks, and optimize timelines
Prepare schedule reports, including critical path analyses, milestone tracking, and 30-day lookahead reports
Lead scheduling meetings and coordinate timeline dependencies across teams
Assist project managers with calendar management for milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder meetings
Project Planning & Strategy
Define project approaches, resource needs, roles, and responsibilities
Develop project charters, scope statements, and deliverables
Draft project and communication plans
Develop cost, effort, and schedule estimates
Coordinate site visits and ensure alignment on technical requirements
Build, maintain, and organize overall project schedules and plans
Assistant Project Management
Support project managers with planning, execution, and monitoring activities
Track deliverables, milestones, KPIs, and performance metrics
Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams
Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks
Prepare project status reports, executive presentations, and briefings
Analytical Support
Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and project optimization
Maintain dashboards, metrics, and KPIs using PMO tools
Perform trend analysis on schedules and performance
Create visualizations and analytical reports for leadership
Identify process improvement opportunities across programs
Document Management
Maintain and optimize document management systems (SharePoint)
Ensure version control, permissions, retention, and compliance
Coordinate document review cycles, approvals, and auditing
Maintain project templates, repositories, and standardized documentation
Support record-keeping for regulatory and compliance purposes
Administrative Support
Support PMO functions including change control, scheduling, and reporting
Ensure proper storage and organization of project artifacts across the lifecycle
Required Qualifications (Mandatory)
Candidates without these qualifications cannot be considered.
Bachelorโs degree from an accredited college
4+ years of experience on mediumโlarge scale projects
4+ years of experience in project management services
Advanced experience with Microsoft Project
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices
Experience with process improvement and organizational development
Experience with SharePoint document management
Ability to serve as a focal point for project management, financial, administrative, and technical issues
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
Experience with project planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects with significant dependencies
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or other project management certification
Experience managing third-party service providers
Background in data analytics, BI, or process improvement
SharePoint development experience
Experience with Smartsheet
