PySpark Data Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial industry, is seeking a PySpark Data Developer to join their dynamic team. As a PySpark Data Developer, you will be an integral part of the Data Engineering department supporting innovative data solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: PySpark Data Developer Location: Charlotte, NC Pay Range: $57.00 - $67.00/hr What's the Job? • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for large-scale data processing. • Lead or collaborate on managing complex logical and physical databases to ensure high performance, scalability, and security. • Provide technical guidance to team members, review challenges, and serve as an escalation point for complex data issues. • Work closely with Scrum masters, product owners, and business partners to meet project objectives using Agile methodologies. • Ensure all data solutions adhere to strict financial industry regulations, data governance policies, and security standards. What's Needed? • Experience with compute engines such as Apache Spark and PySpark. • Knowledge of data layers including Lakehouse/Objectstore, Iceberg/Delta, and SQL. • Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka. • Experience with agentic AI tools such as LangGraph, LangChain, and A2A (preferred). • Previous experience working in the financial industry is a plus.
