Organization: Mercor Position: Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript and Python Engineers (code agent experience) Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $70–$90/hour Location: Remote Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, with potential for extension Commitment: Flexible, 10–40 hours/week Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) • Use coding agents (e.g., Codex, Claude code) to perform realistic coding tasks on real-world codebases supporting next-generation ML applications • Collaborate with AI research teams to build robust, high-performance software systems • Contribute to open source projects and work on sophisticated personal projects shared publicly on GitHub • Communicate clearly and precisely with team members through written and verbal means Requirements • Extensive experience using coding agents as part of software engineering workflow • Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript Programming Language • Strong portfolio of open source contributions and sophisticated personal projects • Excellent attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving ability • Strong written and verbal communication skills Application process: (Takes 20 min) 1.
