We’re looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our customer’s engineering team focused on advancing AI-powered development workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and optimize REST and GraphQL APIs using Python.
• Implement robust data validation, error handling, and API security practices.
• Plan and execute database schema design, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Test AI-powered models (e.g., within Cursor) and provide structured bug reports, screenshots, and performance feedback.
• Participate in short testing sprints to assess AI model performance in real-world coding workflows.
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack to share observations and improvement ideas.
• Complete post-testing surveys summarizing insights on model accuracy and developer experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong expertise in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django preferred).
• Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL services.
• Deep understanding of data validation, error handling, and API security.
• Hands-on experience with database design, query optimization, and migrations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical findings.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, and collaborative environment.
• Enthusiasm for AI tools and hands-on experimentation in software workflows.
