Python Developer Contractor

Location Based: On-site in Plano, TX PREFERRED; NYC and Chicago will also be considered Job Description: As a Python Developer Contractor, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Python-based applications and solutions. Design, develop, and test Python applications based on project requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand technical specifications and requirements. Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software. Optimize and enhance existing Python applications for performance and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Python applications and provide technical support. Primary Skill Required for the Role: Alteryx Level Required for Primary Skill: Advanced (6-9 years experience) Additional Skills Requested for Role: • Python • Microsoft SQL Server • USDC - Tableau Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and deliver analytical solutions. • Extract, integrate, and harmonize data from diverse sources using advanced SQL and SAS. • Develop/debug SAS/SQL to define campaign target populations. • Evaluate campaign performance with analysts to identify trends and insights. • Build scalable data wrangling/transformation pipelines using Alteryx and Python. • Automate workflows for data ingestion from databases, files, and APIs. • Continuously improve automation for efficiency and scalability. • Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards/reports for campaign insights. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Business with quantitative focus). • Proficient in Alteryx and Python for automation and transformation. Preferred Skills: • Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Athena) and data storage. • Knowledge of campaign management and marketing analytics. • Experience with Git/version control. • Financial services industry experience.
