Role description
Position Title: Python Engineer
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 6+ months
Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Python Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and expansion of our home-grown Network Inventory Platform. This platform is critical to our operations and is being extended for enterprise-wide utilization. As we continue to onboard new teams, we need a dedicated engineer to help manage the increasing workload and ensure the platformβs success.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Platform Development and Maintenance: Contribute to the core development of our Network Inventory Platform, focusing on scalability and enterprise-wide integration.
β’ Remediation and Code Auditing: Perform code auditing and remediation to ensure the platformβs reliability, security, and performance.
β’ Onboarding and Offboarding: Assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes for new teams and devices, ensuring seamless integration with the platform.
β’ Device Driver Development: Develop and maintain device drivers for various network hardware, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
β’ Infrastructure/Network as Code: Utilize your strong understanding of Infrastructure/Network as Code to enhance platform capabilities and streamline operations.
Qualifications:
β’ Strong Python Coding Skills: Demonstrated expertise in Python programming, with a focus on developing scalable and efficient solutions.
β’ Device Driver Experience: Extensive experience working with device drivers, with the ability to develop and troubleshoot drivers for network hardware.
β’ Network Hardware Knowledge: Strong background in network hardware, with the ability to navigate and work with various network products in our environment.
β’ Infrastructure/Network as Code: Deep understanding of Infrastructure/Network as Code principles and practices.
β’ Experience with Yamble and/or Ansible: Familiarity with Yamble and/or Ansible is a plus, enhancing your ability to automate and manage network configurations.
