Job Description We are seeking a Karat Software Engineer - Python - Senior (C13) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in back-end Python engineering, data extraction and analysis, and productionizing ML/DL/LLM solutions and a proven ability to design, implement, and deploy scalable analytics and machine learning systems for credit risk management. Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate analytical plans with cross-functional teams. Manage deliverables in an Agile environment and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. Present status, issues, and findings to business, technology, risk review, and model governance groups. Perform data modeling and cleaning from internal and external structured and unstructured sources. Build predictive and prescriptive models and implement them in production environments. Develop, manage, and deploy ML, DL, and LLM solutions following SDLC processes. Implement features across the ML lifecycle including development, testing, training, production, and monitoring. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark/PySpark and TensorFlow or similar frameworks. Strong knowledge of ML/DL/LLM algorithms, architectures, and training techniques. 5+ years designing and developing scalable, reliable ML systems for training, inference, monitoring, and iteration. 5+ years as a data scientist or ML engineer in areas such as ranking, recommendation, or personalization. Experience with data extraction and analysis from structured and unstructured sources. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLM projects and tooling. Familiarity with distributed computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and MySQL. Background in banking, risk management, capital markets, and financial instruments. Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
