Python Developer

Role Title: Technology Lead – Python 📍 Location: Nottingham, UK (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) 📅 Contract Duration: 6-12 Months Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Technology Lead with strong expertise in Python and AWS Cloud services to drive development and delivery of scalable, cloud-based solutions. The role involves designing and implementing backend systems, integrating with APIs, and ensuring adherence to development best practices in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Python-based applications using frameworks such as Django. • Work with AWS cloud services including Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and AppSync to build scalable, serverless solutions. • Develop and integrate with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints for internal and external applications. • Ensure software quality and maintainability by implementing best practices such as pair programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD). • Collaborate with Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous delivery activities. • Mentor junior developers and guide technical decision-making for backend and cloud architecture. Required Skills & Experience: • Proven experience in Python development with backend frameworks like Django. • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services: Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, AppSync. • Strong experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL. • Good understanding of development best practices, including TDD, pair programming, and code reviews. • Experience working in Agile delivery environments. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
