Role description
Job Title: Python Developer Location: Rutherford, NJ / Jersey City, NJ / Irving, TX Duartion: 6 - 12 months Pay Range: $60 - 70/hr Job Description This a development position for establishing and implementing new or revised applications and programs in the Technology team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for data extraction and data analysis from structured and unstructured sources. You will develop systems to clean results to build predictive and prescriptive models and implement them in a production environment by partnering with technology and business partners. You will have to address complex problems involving financial data with specific focus on credit risk management. You will have to have open and adaptive mindset to learn new and advanced models in LLM and GenAI and bring in innovative solutions to complex business problems. Responsibilities: • Architect, Design, and implement robust Python-based solution • Lead global Technology Teams across different time zones, enabling a hybrid work model • Drive Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) principle-based development and mentor team members to leverage advanced python coding techniques and features • Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint • Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary • Experience in using writing and using shell script and other Linux features • Implement Unit Testing and TDD to ensure software quality and maintainability • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. • Proactive. Qualifications: • PhD or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field. • 5+ years of industry experience as a data scientist, specializing in Machine learning Modeling, Ranking, Recommendations, or Personalization systems. • 5+ years of experience designing and developing scalable and reliable machine learning systems for training, inference, monitoring, and iteration. • Strong background of DL/LLM algorithms, model architectures, and training techniques. • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark, TensorFlow or other analytical/model-building programming languages. • Proficiency with tools and LLMs. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
