Role description
Python Developer - £400 per day (Outside IR35)
A high-growth FinTech company is looking for an experienced Python Developer to join on a 6-month contract, with strong likelihood of extension. This role is fully Outside IR35 and offers a day rate of £400.
2 days a week in London, 3 days WFH.
Role Overview
You will work within a cross-functional engineering team building scalable, high-performance services for a cutting-edge financial platform. The role involves developing new features, optimising existing code, and collaborating closely with Data, DevOps, and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python (3.x)
• Django is a must have
• Build APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment
• Integrate with financial data sources and third-party systems
• Work with event-driven architectures and asynchronous frameworks
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews
Required Skills
• Strong commercial experience with Python, ideally in FinTech, banking, trading, or data-heavy environments
• Experience with Django
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and containerised deployments
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and version control (Git)
Contract Details
• Rate: £400 per day
• Duration: 6 months
• IR35: Outside IR35
• Location: Hybrid London / Remote (flexible depending on candidate)
• Start: ASAP
