Job Title: Python DeveloperLocation: Houston, TX, United States, 77002Job Type: Contract (7-week engagement)Hours: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours/weekCompensation: $90.00–$95.00/hr About the Role: Deloitte is seeking an experienced Python Developer for a short-term onsite engagement in Houston, TX. This role focuses on developing analytics solutions using Python and Databricks, with strong emphasis on Monte Carlo simulations, risk-focused data analysis, and clear visualization of analytical findings. Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize Python-based analytics workflows in Databricks. Build and execute Monte Carlo simulations and statistical models for risk and scenario analysis. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and interpret results for stakeholders. Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively. Collaborate with data analytics leads and risk management teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality outputs. Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for traceability and reproducibility. Provide technical guidance on simulation methods, statistical modeling, and analytics best practices. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards within the 7-week project timeframe. Requirements: 6–9 years of advanced Python development experience. Strong expertise with Databricks, including data processing, notebooks, and workflow execution. Solid background in statistics, particularly Monte Carlo simulations, stochastic modeling, and probability-based analysis. Proficiency with data visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn, etc.). Ability to build and interpret simulation models and communicate results clearly. Intermediate experience with AI/ML solutions (model development, optimization, or integration). Experience supporting risk analytics teams. Strong communication skills for collaboration with leadership and stakeholders. Oil & Gas domain knowledge or financial/risk modeling experience is a plus.
