Summary
We are seeking a candidate with hardware test experience who can work with Microsoftβs internal teams for the purpose of SKU Qualification. This will involve assisting with test plans and test cases for Microsoft's CHIE Server Systems. Testing will target all aspects of the server environment (BIOS, BMC, Power, Memory, Storage, FPGA, Network, Performance, Stress, etc.) across multiple operating systems. Assisting in debug and issue resolution is also key to this role and will be driven by a SKU Qualification lead that this position will support.
Primary responsibilities include
Perform qualification of test bed environments utilizing MS CSI Tool Kit and various hardware infrastructures (KVM/IP, 40/50/100GbE, InfiniBand, Rack management, Power, Remote access, etc.)
Build out of Virtualization infrastructure to support qualification test bed environments.
Work with CSI Systems engineering and Automation teams to develop/enhance test cases for current and new technologies.
Assist in debug and help drive resolution to issues related to the qualification of Microsoftβs CSI servers.
β’ Work with suppliers and internal teams on resolving issues.
β’ Interact with multiple teams inside and outside of the SKU Qualification team.
Qualifications
β’ 3+ years of experience in hardware validation (planning, documentation, development, execution, and debug)
β’ Knowledge of server system architecture.
β’ Knowledge of networking, power, rack management and remote access environments
β’ Experience integrating and validating PCBAs, hardware components and/or systems.
β’ Familiarity with and able to develop scripts (Python, PowerShell) and routines to enable and accelerate data collection and data reduction via automation.
β’ Self-motivated individuals must be able to work collaboratively in team environment and across internal divisions and industry (OEM, ODM), demonstrate technical leadership in driving successful product development
