Role description
This role sits at the intersection of quantitative research, engineering, and data infrastructure. You’ll design and build applications that support systematic research, model development, workflow automation, and scalable production deployment. Partner closely with quantitative researchers to co-develop models, expand test coverage, reduce development‑stage model errors, and strengthen SDLC practices to improve CI/CD. You’ll also engineer data pipelines for complex financial datasets, support data analysis and modeling, and create data visualizations that empower data scientists.
As an individual contributor, you’ll bring strong analytical skills, a business‑focused mindset, and a track record of delivering high‑quality software within a front‑office investment management environment.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from a respected academic institution; advanced degrees in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Business Administration are highly preferred.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Experience in the financial industry developing quantitative models and back‑testing; machine learning and NLP experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with cloud‑native platforms or Cloud Foundry; AWS experience is a plus.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Python development; strong proficiency with Python, MongoDB or other SQL/NoSQL databases, and visualization tools such as Plotly.
