Location: Lake County, IL - 100% Onsite Required
Contract: 9 Months - based on performance and business needs
PhD is over qualified
β’ B.S. in chemistry or related field.
β’ Liquid Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry
β’ Working Independently
β’ Compilation and data using multiple computerized systems
β’ Understanding of Good Documentation Practices
Scientist position in regulated (GLP) bioanalysis. Job Skills/Experience
required:
β’ 2+ years of bioanalytical sample analysis using HPLC-MS
β’ General lab skills: lab safety, solution preparations, use of balances, pH meter, pipettes, and other instruments
β’ Knowledge of bioanalytical extraction techniques and Instrumentation: PPT, LLE, SPE
β’ Intermediate experience with HPLC-MS, Data Processing and Analysis (SCIEX Analyst)
β’ Good documentation skills (ALCOA) -Well versed in GLP and other regulatory requirements
β’ Work with Laboratory Information Management Systems
What are the top 3-5 skills required for this position.
β’ Knowledge of Mass Spectrometer Detection with chromatographic separation
β’ Knowledge of bioanalytical extraction techniques (i.e. protein precipitation, liquid-liquid, solid phase)
β’ Proper use of lab skills: (i.e. safety, solution preparation, balances and pipettes)
β’ Knowledge of GLPs and documentation practices
β’ Knowledge of computerized and automated systems
Education required for this position:
β’ 2+ years of bioanalytical sample analysis using HPLC-MS.
Responsibilities:
β’ Performs and ensures analytical work in compliance with applicable regulations
β’ Perform method development and validations of bioanalytical asssays
β’ Conduct assays utilizing automated pipetting extraction instruments, HPLC with MS detection technique
β’ Use computer skills to compile and analyze assay results
β’ Assume responsibility or assist in writing reports
β’ Review and approve data
β’ Drafts and reviews reports
β’ Reviews SOPs
