Apply Here: https://talentarbor.com/job/details/140379/3/26/power-bi-developer-akron-oh-us Power BI Developer – Level 1 Candidates will need to be local to Akron OH. • This position reports to the Asset Information & Tools (AIT) group and is located at the Fairlawn facility in Akron. • The AIT group is responsible for partnering with Client’s Transmission and Distribution organizations to implement the tools, processes and procedures necessary to support Client’s asset management and compliance programs. Responsibilities: • Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety. • Analyzing complex issues and developing actionable recommendation; ensuring decisions impacting the organization are based on data and sound reasoning. • Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and expectations. • Developing PowerBI reporting solutions with emphasis on asset management and compliance. • Utilize Power BI to gather, transform, and visualize data from various sources such as Oracle, Excel, APIs, and SQL, creating interactive dashboards that present key insights to stakeholders. • Work closely with system owners and business stakeholders to enhance data quality and resolve data integration issues. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Transmission and Distribution business units to understand data requirements, design meaningful visualizations, and drive informed decisions. • Train end-users on effectively utilizing Power BI tools to meet their specific needs, fostering a data-driven culture. • Participating in team design discussions and exploring creative solutions to existing business challenges. • Performing testing and validation of reporting solution candidates prior to migration to production. • Work with Leadership to define work assignments, priorities and provide regular status updates. • Collaborate with other Client PowerBI developers. Qualifications include: • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence areas working with the Microsoft Power BI platform. • 3+ years relevant analytical experience • Demonstrated history of producing successful PowerBI reporting solutions. • Excellent customer relations skills and strong communication skills to make clear, accurate and concise oral and written reports. • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with others and to provide excellent customer service, as well as work independently. • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information to various levels in the organization. • Excellent analytical abilities involving complex problems; exercise sound judgment; detail oriented. • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships. • Familiarity with Relational databases including Oracle & MS Sql Server. • Experience in Energy Delivery (ED) transmission/distribution systems or in general business operations a plus. • Familiarity of transmission substation equipment and related attributes and configuration is a plus.
