Role description
Job Overview
We are looking for a Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst to support payment operations by ensuring transaction data, settlements, and financial records are accurate. This role will focus on reconciling data across card networks, banks, processors, and internal systems, investigating discrepancies, and building reporting solutions that improve financial visibility and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across payment transactions, settlements, banking data, and internal ledger systems.
β’ Investigate reconciliation breaks, identify root causes, and drive timely resolution.
β’ Develop and maintain SQL-based reports, dashboards, and automated reconciliation processes.
β’ Analyze transaction data to identify trends, data issues, and process improvement opportunities.
β’ Support month-end close activities, reporting requirements, and audit documentation.
β’ Partner with Engineering, Accounting, Treasury, Product, and Compliance teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.
β’ Maintain process documentation and recommend automation opportunities to reduce manual efforts.
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience in reconciliation, settlement, payment operations, accounting, or finance analytics.
β’ Strong SQL skills with experience creating reports and analyzing large datasets.
β’ Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
β’ Experience investigating financial discrepancies and performing root-cause analysis.
β’ Understanding of accounting principles and payment/money movement processes.
β’ Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with card network reconciliation and settlement processes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
β’ Knowledge of payment systems including ACH, wire transfers, SWIFT, RTP/FedNow, merchants, processors, and banking partners.
β’ Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Looker or Tableau.
β’ Exposure to month-end close, audits, financial controls, or SOX processes.
Education
Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
