Title: Regulatory Reporting Technology Consultant Location: 550 S Tryon St Charlotte, NC Duration: 12 months Work Engagement: W2 Work Schedule: 4 days in office/1 day remote Benefits on offer for this contract position: Health Insurance, Life insurance, 401K and Voluntary Benefits Summary: We are seeking a highly technical consultant to support the Market & Counterparty Regulatory Reporting team. This role focuses on analyzing current regulatory reporting and stress testing processes, identifying automation opportunities, and partnering with technology teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, controls, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: β€’ Partner with Market Risk and Counterparty Risk SMEs to understand reporting workflows, data flows, controls, and dependencies. β€’ Identify manual processes, reconciliation gaps, data lineage issues, and opportunities for automation. β€’ Design scalable solutions for data pipelines, aggregation logic, and reporting processes. β€’ Drive modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy reporting processes to modern technology frameworks. β€’ Document business and technical requirements in Jira, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. β€’ Collaborate with development teams through design, build, testing, and production deployment. β€’ Support data integrity, reconciliation, performance optimization, and reporting controls across large-scale regulatory reporting environments. β€’ Leverage Power BI, Tableau, and emerging technologies, including AI/GenAI tools, to enhance reporting and operational efficiency. Qualifications: β€’ Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. β€’ Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. β€’ Strong Java development experience; Spring Boot and/or Spring Batch preferred. β€’ Experience with data architecture, ETL/data pipelines, and scalable processing solutions. β€’ Experience in Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, or regulatory reporting environments. β€’ Knowledge of FR Y-14Q, CCAR, Basel, stress testing, and risk aggregation preferred. β€’ Proven ability to gather requirements, write Jira user stories, and work within Agile environments. β€’ Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. β€’ Experience partnering across risk, data, and technology teams. β€’ Banking or financial services experience. (preferred) β€’ Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or reporting automation tools. β€’ Exposure to regulatory reporting modernization and process automation initiatives. β€’ Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools and advanced analytics platforms.
