We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Reinsurance and Actuarial processes to bridge business and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge of reinsurance operations, actuarial reporting, insurance data, and business analysis methodologies. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, supporting system implementations, and ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from reinsurance and actuarial stakeholders.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, and IT teams to deliver business solutions.
• Analyze treaty and facultative reinsurance processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Support actuarial modeling, pricing, reserving, and regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Perform data analysis and validate insurance and reinsurance data.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and internal governance standards.
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and production support.
Required Skills
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Solid understanding of reinsurance concepts, including treaty and facultative reinsurance.
• Knowledge of actuarial functions such as pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and financial reporting.
• Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process analysis.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent documentation skills (BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
