Role description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable data availability and efficient data processing.
Required Skills
β’ SQL Server: T-SQL, stored procedures, transactions, query tuning, indexing
β’ EBCDIC data handling and legacy data formats
β’ Python scripting for ETL/automation tasks (ODBC, logging, validation)
β’ Control-M scheduling and batch job management
β’ Strong understanding of data lifecycle management (archiving, retention, purging)
Nice-to-Have
β’ Experience with very large databases (VLDB) and partitioning
β’ Knowledge of mainframe data formats (COBOL copybooks, packed decimals)
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD for databases and Python
β’ Experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR)
