Job Description
We are seeking a mid to senior-level Data Engineer with strong Snowflake and dbt experience to support an Aladdin implementation program. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial data, modern cloud data platforms, and analytics engineering best practices. Prior Aladdin experience is not required, but is considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse
Build and manage analytics-ready data models using dbt, following best practices for modularity, testing, and documentation
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate Aladdin-related data requirements into robust data models and transformations
Integrate and normalize data from upstream systems (, investment, accounting, market data, reference data) into Snowflake
Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and performance optimizations across pipelines and models
Support reporting, analytics, and downstream consumption use cases tied to portfolio, risk, performance, and operational data
Collaborate with implementation partners and internal teams during design reviews, UAT, and production rollouts
Contribute to data governance, lineage, and documentation standards

58+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, cost optimization)
Strong hands-on experience with dbt (models, macros, tests, documentation, environments)
Proficiency in SQL; comfort working with complex, large-scale datasets
Experience working in financial services environments (asset management, banking, capital markets, or similar)
Familiarity with modern data engineering best practices (ELT, version control, CI/CD, data quality)
Ability to work independently in a contract-based, delivery-oriented environment
Nice To Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience supporting Aladdin implementations or integrations
Exposure to investment data domains (portfolio, positions, transactions, risk, performance, benchmarks)
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience collaborating with offshore or distributed delivery teams
