Role description
Location: London/Hybrid Salary: Outside IR35 Contract (Day Rate) We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Reporting Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and working closely with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability across the organisation Role Description This is a contract hybrid role for a Reporting Analyst specialising in Gas & Energy Trading, based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility for remote work. The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to support financial and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities β€’ Work with cross-functional teams including analysts, engineers, and business partners. β€’ Deliver actionable insights through data analysis and clear reporting, through tools such as Power BI. β€’ Define and maintain metrics, dashboards, and automated reports. β€’ Identify opportunities and execute analysis independently. β€’ Act as a link between business and digital teams, translating data into meaningful reports. β€’ Build and maintain data pipelines to support reporting needs. β€’ Follow best practices in analytics and reporting. β€’ Present findings to stakeholders and influence decisions. β€’ Mentor team members on reporting and analytics. Qualifications (Essential) β€’ MSc in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics). β€’ 5+ years’ experience in analytics and reporting in fast-paced environments. β€’ Strong skills in SQL and scripting (R or Python). β€’ Experience creating dashboards and automated reports (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). β€’ Knowledge of data pipelines and lifecycle management. β€’ Solid understanding of statistics and experimental design. β€’ Strong business acumen and communication skills. Qualifications (Desirable) β€’ Advanced analytics or reporting degree. β€’ Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark). β€’ Familiarity with data visualisation best practices.
