Reporting & Systems Analyst (Contract) | Remote | Inside IR35 Location: Remote (UK-based) Contract: 12 months (with strong potential for extension) Rate: Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35) We're looking for an experienced Reporting & Systems Analyst to join a high-performing data management team on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong SQL, reporting, and data analysis experience who enjoys working with business stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights and improve data processes. The Role You'll play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, analysing operational and business data, and supporting the development of performance metrics that drive business decisions. Working within a collaborative data management function, you'll help ensure data integrity, identify trends, investigate anomalies, and support automation initiatives. This role also involves working closely with internal teams, customers, and third-party suppliers to support data onboarding and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and distribute business and operational reports. • Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyse data. • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. • Investigate and resolve data quality and reporting issues. • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). • Support data onboarding activities and provide feedback throughout onboarding phases. • Work closely with IT, data warehouse teams, and third-party vendors. • Identify opportunities for reporting automation and support testing activities. • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs. Skills & Experience We're looking for candidates with: • 3-4 years' experience in Reporting, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or Systems Analysis. • Strong SQL skills. • Experience with reporting tools such as Excel, Access, Cognos, Business Objects, or similar BI platforms. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Experience working with data quality, reporting, and performance metrics. • A proactive mindset with an interest in automation and continuous improvement. • Experience working across multiple systems, including bespoke applications. • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Desirable • Degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. • Experience working with operational or policy data. • Exposure to data onboarding or data management functions.
