β’ Perform deep-dive analysis of production revenue trends, identifying anomalies, outliers, and recurring discrepancies across Permian, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville assets
β’ Investigate root causes of significant revenue variances, production imbalances, and allocation errors
β’ Conduct basin-level and property-level performance analytics to identify systematic issues affecting volume accuracy, pricing, or ownership calculations
β’ Develop and maintain executive dashboards and KPI reporting for production revenue performance
β’ Provide monthly variance analysis and commentary to finance leadership on production revenue trends
β’ Identify opportunities for revenue recovery through investigation of suspense accounts, prior-period adjustments, and unresolved discrepancies
1. QUALITY ASSURANCE & OVERSIGHT
β’ Provide technical review and quality assurance oversight of work performed by Oil & Gas Revenue Accountants
β’ Validate accuracy of production volumes, revenue allocations, and regulatory submissions before finalization
β’ Review complex ownership structures, division of interest (DOI) calculations, and allocation methodologies for accuracy

β’ Partner with IT and SAP support teams to investigate system defects, recommend enhancements, and validate system fixes
β’ Document known issues, workarounds, and resolution paths for common production revenue challenges
β’ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance data accuracy, and reduce manual intervention
β’ Develop and implement internal controls and validation checks to prevent future systematic errors
1. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & AUDIT SUPPORT
β’ Serve as technical expert for Texas Railroad Commission (RRC), Louisiana Department of Energy & Natural Resources (LDNR), and Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) reporting requirements

β’ Analyze regulatory variances and discrepancies between internal records and external filings

β’ Monitor changes in state and federal reporting regulations, assess impacts, and implement necessary system or process changes
β’ Provide technical guidance on complex regulatory scenarios including unitization, pooling, and federal vs. state reporting requirements
1. TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP & TRAINING
β’ Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for complex production accounting and revenue issues
β’ Mentor and provide technical guidance to Oil & Gas Revenue Accountants on challenging scenarios
β’ Develop standard operating procedures, desk-level procedures, and best practice documentation
