Role description
Clients engage RGP for expertise in delivering large and complex projects to strengthen their business. As Revenue Data Engineer, you will work on a diverse range of projects. Through relevant experience, you will have been exposed to multiple and ideally complex (global) projects and businesses and be able to adapt these to our clients' unique environment. KEY DELIVERABLES β€’ Data Engineering & SQL Development β€’ Refactor and rebuild existing SQL scripts, tables, and workflows to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. β€’ Design and develop new SQL-based data pipelines where needed, following data engineering best practices. β€’ Establish consistent coding standards, data modeling conventions, and architectural patterns across SQL artifacts. β€’ Ensure all development aligns with structured SDLC processes when modifying or replacing legacy assets. β€’ SDLC, Quality & Stability β€’ Implement and operate within structured development processes including: β€’ Requirements definition β€’ Design and development β€’ Testing and validation β€’ Controlled production deployments β€’ Improve reliability by introducing stronger testing frameworks and change management practices. β€’ Data Pipelines, Workflows & Dashboarding β€’ Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, including scripting, workflow orchestration, table creation, and downstream data consumption. β€’ Architecture & Best Practices β€’ Replace fragmented or speed-optimized legacy solutions with scalable, well-documented data architectures. β€’ Serve as a resource for SQL development and data engineering best practices within a finance-focused environment. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED β€’ Expert-level SQL, with the ability to design complex queries and pipelines from scratch. β€’ Strong data engineering experience, comparable to a senior data engineer role. β€’ Hands-on experience working within the Google data and analytics ecosystem, including tools such as Big Query, PLX, Piper, or similar Google development environments. β€’ Experience working within structured SDLC processes including requirements, testing, deployment, and production support.
