Role description
🐦 About Birdie At Birdie, we’re reimagining care for older adults. We’re building the technology that powers the future of home healthcare, empowering care teams with tools to deliver better, more dignified care, and enabling older people to thrive in their own homes for longer. Our all-in-one solution powers millions of care visits every month, equipping care providers with the tools they need to deliver exceptional, efficient care. We’re not here to tinker at the edges. We’re here to radically transform a broken system. That’s why we’ve built an all-in-one platform that supported over 60 million care visits and enabled care for 116,000 individuals in 2025, and we continue to grow our impact. We’re scaling fast, but staying true to our purpose. That’s why we’re proud to be a B Corp, using business as a force for good. Founded in 2017, Birdie is backed by world-class investors like Index Ventures, Sofina and Omers. In 2023, we ranked #6 in the Deloitte Fast 50, making us one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK. You can check out more about our impact and recognition here. But speed isn’t the point. Impact is. ⚡️ Your mission You'll own the systems and processes that sit behind our commercial team and rebuild them from the ground up - using AI, automation, and good product thinking to drive better revenue outcomes and make Birdie's GTM significantly more effective and efficient. This is a rare opportunity to shape the core infrastructure behind a high-performing GTM engine in one of tech's most urgent spaces. We have legacy systems, inherited processes, and ways of working designed for a different era. We're not looking for someone to maintain them. We're looking for someone to evolve them - deliberately, using AI and good product thinking, while keeping the engine running. If you're the kind of person who looks at messy operational environments and sees design problems to solve rather than queues to work through, this is your role. 🦸‍♀️ How you will contribute • Own the commercial operations stack as a product. You'll define a roadmap for how it evolves, treat your stakeholders as users, and make deliberate calls about what gets built next and why. That means owning the full design, governance, and evolution of our commercial systems - not just configuring tools, but taking responsibility for how they connect, how data flows, and where technical debt is accumulating. HubSpot is yours. CPQ is yours end-to-end. Automate as much as possible: the goal is a stack that largely runs itself, with humans reserved for judgment calls. • Redesign, don't just configure. Identify where the operating model is slow, brittle, or manual - and where it's simply not delivering the outcomes it should. Design better systems. Build them. Use AI and automation to eliminate work that shouldn't require humans, and to unlock better results for the business and our partners. Then measure whether it worked, and iterate — building on evidence rather than assumption. • Partner with stakeholders, but don't order-take. Work closely with CS, Sales, Finance, and Product. Your job isn't gathering requirements and delivering to spec - it's understanding real problems, challenging briefs when they're wrong, and owning revenue outcomes. You hold a point of view and defend it. • Own commercial operational processes - and make them better. Beyond the CS-specific work, you'll be the named owner of recurring processes that span the commercial function: renewal processing, contracting, billing operations, tool access and provisioning, CRM hygiene, data maintenance. These things need to work reliably every week - that's your accountability, not someone else's. At the same time, your job isn't just to run them: it's to identify which ones shouldn't exist in their current form, automate what can be automated, delegate what can be owned elsewhere, and redesign what can't. You hold the operational responsibility while systematically working to reduce it. That's the job. • Work across the full commercial stack over time. The immediate priority is CS and post-sales. Beyond that, we'll point you at whatever matters most: pre-sales, data infrastructure, tooling strategy, commercial process redesign. Breadth is the point. • Help shape what RevOps looks like next. We're AI-first by design, not aspiration — we've already automated >50% of customer support resolution, we're deploying AI-driven enrichment and prospecting, and we're building an AI-powered context layer and BI capability. You'll help define what that means for commercial operations: which workflows get automated next, which tools get replaced, and what modern ops looks like when you're not constrained by how things have always been done. 🤩 You’ll thrive here if... • You take ambiguous problems and find solutions - including the genuinely hard ones. When you hit a wall - a difficult integration, a stakeholder who won't move, a problem with no obvious answer - you come back with options, not a status update. You galvanise people around new ways of working; you're scrappy and resourceful; you push boundaries rather than accepting them as fixed. • You're commercially sharp and outcomes-obsessed. You define success criteria before you start, track both leading and lagging indicators for your work, and measure yourself by whether the business moved - not what you shipped. • You don't order-take. You push back. You ask why. You redesign briefs when they're wrong. You care more about building the right things than being easy to work with. Stakeholders trust you because you tell them the truth, not because you say yes. • You pave the way with AI. You're not waiting for the obvious use case - you're already building with it, testing its limits in your domain, and thinking about what comes next. You build with production in mind - low maintenance, scaleable, something a team can rely on. You can show us something meaningful you've made or automated with it recently. • You think like a product manager about internal systems. You have a roadmap, not just a to-do list. You treat your stakeholders as users, understand their friction, and prioritise based on impact rather than whoever asked loudest. • You're a genuine generalist. You've worked across systems, process, data and strategy without being precious about which bit you're doing. You're as comfortable in stakeholder conversations as you are in HubSpot workflows or Snowflake queries. • Your background is likely in RevOps, CS Ops, Sales Ops, Business Systems, or commercial operations - but title matters less than evidence. Show us a messy problem you owned end-to-end, a solution you designed and built yourself, and something you automated or meaningfully improved with AI. What This Role Isn't • A pure systems admin or CRM configurator • A ticket processor who waits for requirements • A narrow CS Ops coordinator • A role for someone who needs well-defined environments to do their best work • A role where "that's blocked" is an acceptable final answer 🧠 Imposter syndrome is real — and we don’t expect you to tick every box. If you're excited about our mission and think you could make a difference here, we want to hear from you. 🌈 What You’ll Get From Us We believe people do their best work when they’re supported, trusted and inspired. Here’s how we build a world-class employee experience: 💸 Compensation • Competitive base salary, reviewed against benchmarks annually • Generous stock options - because we’re building this together • Bi-annual performance cycles with individual compensation reviews 🧠 Learning & Growth • Annual personal learning budget and access to training, coaching and mentorship • Time and space for growth - you set your development goals, we back them 🏡 Flexible Working • Hybrid working - 3 days per week in our incredible London HQ • Budget to set up your home workspace • Regular in-person meetups, socials and offsites 🏖 Time Off • 33 days holiday (25 days + public holidays) • Extra day off on your birthday (use it whenever you like!) • Company shutdown between Christmas and New Year • 2 volunteering days each year to give back to causes that matter 👶 Family-first Policies • Industry leading paid primary and secondary caregiver leave • 5 paid days for fertility treatments for those who need it • Private health insurance with AXA • Wellbeing perks via Happl (gym discounts, mental health support, and more) 🚲 Other Perks • Cycle to work scheme • 4% employer pension contribution when you contribute 5% (UK) • A deeply human, radically transparent culture ❓Why Birdie?
